Thomas A. Brown, Sr., Bethlehem, CT, died March 17, 2025.

He was born in Cleveland, OH, and grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, attending high school at Bergen Catholic before coming to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Michael’s. He went on to earn his MBA at the University of New Haven (CT).

Tom taught mathematics and coached JV football at Ramsey (NJ) High School before moving to Vermont to manage a ski lodge. He later accepted a position in purchasing at Millers Falls Tool in Greenfield, MA. Other positions in industry during his work career included with Black & Decker Tools in Hampstead, MD, Digital Equipment Corporation in San German, Puerto Rico and Westfield, MA; Timex Corporation in Middlebury, CT, Mergenthaler in Huntington, Long Island, NY, General Data Comm in Middlebury, CT; Aetna in Hartford, CT, and Pfizer in New York City from which he retired in 2001.

He was a President’s Medallion supporter of the College, and his name is engraved on the Kresge Challenge Plaque. He was a supporter of the Bucky Egan Scholarship Fund, among other Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Michael’s causes.

Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rebecca Smith, and his children by his first marriage, including a son and a daughter; he also is survived by three brothers and extended family.
