John P. Garofoli, Clinton, MA, died March 26, 2025.

Born and raised in Clinton, he graduated from St. John鈥檚 High School in 1969 before coming to 麻豆视频 Michael鈥檚 and earning his degree in accounting. He was a dedicated employee of the Boston and Maine Railroad, retiring after 39 years. John was also a life-long parishioner of St. John Guardian of Our Lady.

A devoted fan of all Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox, he also followed college basketball and football and enjoyed watching golf. Among other enjoyments were trips to the Maine coast and to Cape Cod. John looked forward to taking a ride to a casino, a winning scratch ticket, seeing a good movie, going to his favorite restaurant, and spending time with family and friends.

He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, especially being there to support family and friends when needed. John was also the favorite dog-sitter to Curly and Sophie. His family thanks the staff at UMass Medical Center BMT Clinic for the care and friendship provided to John throughout his treatment.

He is survived by two sisters and extended family.
